Memorial
Board
A cast bronze plaque on
our Memorial Tablet is
a dignified memorial for your loved ones
who have passed on. Plaques are lit for
a full week in observance of the Yahrzeit,
and during all Yizkor services. Your loved
one's name is also memorialized at the Shabbat
service preceding the Yahrzeit.
|
Yizkor
Remembrance
At four
(4) times during the year - Yom Kippur,
Sh'mini Atzeret, Passover, and Shavuot -
Yizkor is recited in the synagogue.
The Yizkor ritual includes the offering
of individual memorial prayers, the recitation
of psalms and other poems, and the chanting
of El Maleh Rachamim. For individuals
marking a loss, it is customary to light
a Yahrzeit (memorial) candle on
days when Yizkor is recited. It is also
customary to give Tzedakah (charity)
in memory of the deceased, on the belief
that the good deeds of the survivors elevate
the souls of the departed.

Tree
of Life
Our beautiful Tree
of Life allows us to commemorate
the wonderful Simchas and celebrations in
your life, or in the life of a family member
or friend. Not only does the Tree of Life
enhance the beauty of our Synagogue, but
the purchase of a leaf or stone is also
a wonderful way to support our Synagogue's
growth. |

Sponsor
a Kiddush
Share a special
Simchah or celebration by sponsoring a Kiddush
after Services on Saturday morning, or an
Oneg Shabbat on Friday evening. Honor a
special occasion, birthday, anniversary,
birth of a child or grandchild, graduation,
or any other life celebration of a family
member or friend. For
further information, please inquire at the
Synagogue or call Eleanor Berman at 954.726.8381.
Amchah
Food Drive
One of the basic concepts
of Judaism is that of Tzadakah - doing that
which is just and right. We invite all to
bring toiletries, canned goods or other
non-perishable food items to the Synagogue
for distribution to the homeless, the needy
and the hungry. Please help
us to help others.
